Hello my name is Miss Coleman and I currently work at Okmulgee Public Schools as the Vocal Music Teacher and Guard Director. I am a Jenks High School graduate and have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, Vocal from the University of Central Oklahoma. I come from a long line of musicians and educators in both side of my family. Music Education is my passion and I believe that every student has the right to a quality music education experience. I have previously worked at Bixby Public Schools as a elementary and intermediate music teacher. I have also choreographed for Edmond North Winterguard, Sulphur High School show choir, and McAlester High School Colorguard. I was the dance tech for Progressions Independent Winterguard out of Wichita, Kansas. I was also a previous Music Intern through UCO for Cashion Public Schools and ran their colorguard program from 2018-2019. I was a member of Jenks JV Winterguard in 2014 and 2015. I have also been a member of Jenks Concert Choirs and Show Choirs throughout my time in Jenks Public Schools. In college, I was in University Choir, Concert Chorale and Cantilena. I was a lead in the UCO Opera “The Tenderland” by Aaron Copland in 2016 and have been a member of the Tulsa Chorale. When I am not at work, I love to take care of my plants.
