About Juanita Morgan

Hello,website picture9

I am Juanita Weaver-Morgan.  I was born and lived most of my life in Seattle, Washington.  I graduated from Cleveland High School and attended the University of Washington and Seattle Community College receiving degrees in accounting and bookkeeping (Deans Honor Roll).  I spent most of my life working as a legal assistant for Boeings, and the city’s largest law firm.  My husband and I moved to Houston after we were married and I worked for Exxon’s Law division as a legal assistant for many years.

After having children, and numerous weekend trips to Okmulgee to visit family, we decided this was a better place to raise our children.  As well, I decided no more hour-long drives to work!  I went back to school at OSUIT and received Elementary, Pre-Secondary and Business degrees simultaneously (President and Deans Honor Roll).

Once my children became of school age and spending time volunteering in the schools, I saw the need for special education teachers that were concerned about the students receiving a quality education.  I procrastinated about the long drive for over a year,  finally completed BS.Ed, Special Education/English at NSU-Tahlequah in 2012 (Magna Cum Laude).

I have been married for 29 years, we have three children, Dominque, Christopher, Aaron,  one granddaughter Jaylah and two grandsons Caelix and Kameron.

I have been  President of OHS Quarterback Club, V.P. Tip In Club, Secretary Boy Scouts Troop 102, and currently the Cheer Coach.

I love spontaneous road trips with my family!

Coach Dreyer’s wife Melissa at OSUIT was my English inspiration, she made it so rewarding I took every literature class they offered!

I hope to enlighten my students with the same enthusiasm!
