Think Through Math Training
Acellus Training
I started working for Okmulgee Public Schools in 2006 and am starting my 13th year teaching with the district. Over the years I have taught math for grades 6-8, 8th grade Algebra 1, STEM, Intervention, and Personal FInancial Literacy.
I spent 6 years as a teachers assistant for Jenks Three Year Old Preschool through the Community Education Program and worked at both Central Campus Mayo Building and Southeast Elementary.
My first teaching assignment was Kindergarten in August 2005 at Jenks West Elementary.
I spent the next two years at Jenks Middle School working as a long-term substitute teacher where I taught 7th grade math, 7th grade Language Arts, Computer classes, speech/debate and an entire semester of Drama. While covering 7th grade math and language arts it was my job to create the lesson plans and input grades into the online gradebook just like the regular classroom teacher.
I was born in Stillwater, OK and raised in the Tulsa area. I attended Tulsa Public Schools, Jenks Middle School, Union Middle School, and Catoosa High School. I married my husband, John, in June 1983. We have lived in Jenks for the past 22 years. We have a 27 year old daughter who attended Jenks Public Schools and is currently working in the IT field; and a son who is 41 that lives in Indianapolis, IN with his wife and three kids. We currently have a 10 year old Maine Coon cat named Random.
I enjoy learning about computers, reading, and playing puzzle games.
