About Mr. Hopkins
Graduated from high school and college in the state of New York. He is a 2006 Canastota High School graduate where he was involved with National Honor Society, math club, football, wrestling, baseball and finished top 15% of his class. He then attended Hartwick College in Oneonta where he majored in mathematics and became a certified math teacher. While in college Mr. Hopkins was in the mathematics honor society, manager of hawks football team and did some teaching assistance work. He graduated from Hartwick College in 2010 and began his teaching career.
Mr. Hopkins has taught two years at Canastota High School and Otto Shortell Middle School at Oneida. While at Canastota he taught 9th grade Algebra and at Otto Shortell he taught Math AIS for grades 6,7, & 8.
Mr. Hopkins moved to Oklahoma to teach at Okmulgee Public School from Syracuse, New York. He taught the math 6 for the 2013 - 2014 school year. In 2014 - 2015 school year, Mr. Hopkins taught Math 7, Math 8 and Algebra I. During 2015 – 2016 Mr. Hopkins taught Math 8 and Algebra I.
Now for the 2017 – 2018 school year, this is Mr. Hopkins second school year at the high school where he has been teaching Algebra I and Algebra II. He hopes to help each student the best that he can while he is here in Okmulgee.
